Rumor: A Spiderverse Game From Insomniac Is In The Works
Ransomwares and leaks really are terrible, but at least in some twisted way we do get a heads-up from companies. And it looks like Insomniac Games is not done with Spider-Man and Marvel.
According to the ransomware attack info that is confirmed by Sony (via Reddit), Insomniac Games’ data is being held hostage by hackers. Parts of the info include leaked documents (including sensitive employee information) suggesting that the Insomniac devs are working on a new Spider-Verse game and the next sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man.
The leak also includes new images of Marvel’s Wolverine, slated for PlayStation 5 and for 2024. Insomniac is working on a multiplayer project, with fans speculating that it could be the aforementioned Spider-Man Spiderverse title.
In other better news not involving leaked secrets, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is doing gangbusters sales-wise, selling 2.5 million units in the game’s first 24 hours of release. The game’s New Game+ is slated for early next year.
