Marvel’s What If Season 2 Episode 2 Breakdown & Easter Eggs

The second episode of Marvel’s What If Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia. I’ll be discussing heavy spoilers so if you haven’t seen it or want to avoid spoilers, now’s your chance to stop reading. Check out my spoiler-free review of Marvel’s What If Season 2 here.

The synopsis reads:

Season two of “What If…?” continues the journey as The Watcher (voice of Jeffrey Wright) guides viewers through the vast Multiverse, introducing brand-new and familiar faces from the MCU. In the mainline MCU, Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., or simply Pegasus, was destroyed by Loki in 2012’s The Avengers.

In this universe, it still exists.

This Universe’s Version Of The Avengers

King T-Chaka AKA Black Panther, Bucky AKA the Winter Soldier, Doctor Hank Pym AKA Ant-Man, Howard Stark AKA Iron Man, Bill Foster AKA Giant-Man (from left to right in the picture above) and Wendy Lawson AKA Mar-Vell AKA Captain Marvel (in the picture below it).

A Cameo From Thor

Thor joins this universe’s Avengers as well, with Chris Hemsworth reprising his role.

Peter Performs Yu Yu Hakusho’s Spirit Gun

It’s a joke but it does look like it.

The episode ends with the Avengers going to Ego’s planet.
