Publisher and developer Blobfish have finally confirmed that Brotato will launch for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles in late January 2024. The hit shooter game will also be coming to Xbox PC Game Pass on day one release.
Players will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the role of a potato named Brotato, who possesses the extraordinary ability to utilize up to six weapons simultaneously in his battle against hordes of aliens. Unfortunately, Brotato finds himself stranded on an alien planet after his spaceship crash-landed. Now, he must find a way to survive in this hostile environment, all while eagerly waiting to be rescued by his mates.
In this thrilling game, players have the opportunity to take charge of Brotato and navigate through various challenges, utilizing his unique set of skills and firepower to overcome obstacles and stay one step ahead of the relentless alien forces.
Brotato was initially introduced in Early Access for the PC version on Steam on 27 September 2022. Following several months, the full game version was released on 23 June 2023. Not too long after, Brotato became available on the Nintendo Switch platform on 3 August 2023.
Those who are interested can now pre-order the physical Deluxe Edition of Brotato on Red Art Games’ official online store. This deluxe version specifically caters to the PlayStation 5 and boasts several noteworthy additions. Among these, players will find a double-sided poster featuring additional artwork, the full game with a unique cover, and a one-of-a-kind stress reliever moulded in the shape of a potato.
Brotato is set to hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 30 January 2024.
