Talk about melting pot celebrations! PlayStation Asia decides to pop off this year’s Lunar New Year Celebration of 2024 with one of South Korea’s biggest pop talent: Kim Se Jeong.
Kim Se Jeong is the latest face in PlayStation Asia’s marketing campaign for the next few weeks of Chinese New Year-ing. She was a member of K-pop girl groups I.O.I and Gugudan, now a solo artist and actress known for shows like School 2017, the Uncanny Counter, and Business Proposal.
To take part in the social media campaign involving Kim, fans can use a specially-created Instagram filter to have a “video call” with the star and stand a chance to win PS5 covers autographed by her.
Check out the promo video below, as well as a PR quote from the star herself:
“As someone who grew up playing video games, I am very proud to be working with PlayStation on this campaign. The concept is fun, where I get to play mysterious characters in the world of PlayStation and it is great to portray gaming characters, especially Tifa and Aloy who have great costumes and props! Please join me to celebrate Happy New Play-Year in PlayStation 5!”
On a related note, the Road To The Stage 2024 tournament featuring EA FC 24 and NBA 2k24 with a regional offline finals showcase will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on March 2024. Online qualifiers have started now and will end on 13 February, with the online regional finals happening on 24 February.
