The popular sports manga and anime series, Blue Lock is finally getting its own video game and it is coming sooner than fans expected. The announcement was made on the game’s official X/Twitter account, stating that the upcoming anime football game is “coming soon” and players can now pre-register on iOS and Android devices.

Blue Lock Project: World Champion, known commonly as Blue Lock PWC, is a mobile game developed by Rudel Inc and is based on the popular sports anime released in 2022. The story revolves around a group of high school football players who aspire to join the Japanese national team. To achieve their goals, they must overcome intense challenges and compete against one another in cuttthroat matches designed by the football enigma Ego Jinpachi.

According to Rudel Inc, Blue Lock PWC was the top downloaded app in Japan during the first half of the year 2023. This success has fueled anticipation for the global version of the game, which has high hopes riding on it.

The gameplay in this title emulates the football manager genre, allowing players to carefully select and train their preferred strikers from the series. By enhancing their statistics and gradually learning more about them through engaging visual novel-style narratives, players can assemble their dream team and engage in thrilling matches against rival groups, striving for the ultimate victory.
