X-Men 97 Season 1 Showrunner Reveals How Much He Contributed To Season 2 Before He Was Fired

In March 2024, X-Men 97 Season 1 showrunner and executive producer Beau DeMayo was fired ahead of the series premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 20 March 2024. Now, just days after the end of X-Men 97 Season 1, he has clarified how involved he will be with the upcoming Season 2 of the series and how much he contributed to it before he was fired.

In several tweets (Source 1, Source 2) responding to a question, Beau DeMayo said:

“I did write a lot of Season 2, However, unlike Season 1, I will not be heavily involved or leading production, cast records, design, editorial, post, music, etc., nor doing any production rewrites as it relates to the creative vision of the show.

This is why I’ve said I can’t really speak to Season 2. But, looking forward to seeing the final product with you all whenever it airs. I have high hopes.”

At the time of writing, we still don’t know what exactly the official reason is for why Disney and Marvel fired Beau DeMayo.

There is no release date for X-Men 97 Season 2 yet.
