The Best Elden Ring Mods to Enhance Your Gameplay

With Elden Ring’s big expansion DLC around the corner, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, some of you are hyping it up by replaying Elden Ring. If you’ve been a vanilla gamer, and want to spice things up with your next playthroughs, I’ve got a couple of mods that you may like to try out. From quality of life, to huge overhauls, take your pick and get in on the fun!

SEAMLESS CO-OP by LukeYui

If you are someone who prefers playing games with friends, and was disappointed that Elden Ring is singleplayer, this mod allows you to bypass that and invite your friends! Best part? You can invite up to 5 other friends to now join you on your journey. This however does not scale the difficulty which means the game will be so much easier. To work around that, the creator made a few balance changes to make sure that it does not ruin your gameplay’s experience. Check out the mod’s page for more information!

QUEST LOG by The Elden Ring Quest Giver

With Elden Ring being an open-world game, it can be hard to keep track of all its various elements and quests. It doesn’t help that the game isn’t very generous with giving you information, which of course is a deliberate design to make the game harder. Thanks to the Quest Log mod, it opens up an an in-game menu that will help you keep track of those pesky quests. Not just that, it also keeps track of the next few steps you need to do to complete it. Honestly, the best quality of life mod you could ever ask for, especially for the completionists!

PAUSE THE GAME by TechieW and iArtorias

A huge quality of life change for most! One think people will notice is that the game does not pause even if you are in the map or in-game menu. This can lead to a ton of unnecessary and surprising deaths. With this mod, you can set a customizable keybind which can pause the game whenever you like.

MAGIC OVERHAUL – SORCERIES by Tellah9

If you wanted the full mage experience and was disappointed with what you got in Elden Ring, this mod will completely enhance your gameplay. A complete overhaul to the major sorceries from the vanilla Elden Ring, most of the changes to are minor or just cosmetic. This mod is a gamechanger to visual effects and even adds a character animations. A must have for a true mage.

MAP FOR GOBLINS by Harmonixer

Another mod for the fellow completionists! Giving you a lot more information than what the vanilla version gives you, this mod automatically adds hundreds of markers all around your map. With this modded map, you can see all undefeated bosses, unique item drops and all the unvisited Sites of Grace.

ITEM AND ENEMY RANDOMIZER by thefifthmatt

Alright, so Elden Ring wasn’t challenging for you, but what if we could make it even more challenging? Let’s shake things up and randomize everything! The mod will randomize key items, merchant shops, enemy loot drops, as well as enemies. It’s fun and well, it will keep you on your toes. You never know what’s coming next!

THE CONVERGENCE by Convergence Team

Talk about a whole ass overhaul. Convergence takes Elden Ring to a new level. It’s a complete fresh new game even for returning players. This mod introduces new weapons, enemies, bosses, spells, and a whole new section of a map has even been added. It also adds some quality of life changes. For a more detailed explanation on this mod, check out their mod page.

FIRST PERSON SOULS by Dasaav

This may not seem so much like a big game changer, but think about it. Look at the world through first-person instead of the usual third-person view. The entire gameplay changes. The way you see things, the way you have to fight in combats, and even the way bosses look right at you.

So which mod is right for you? Are there any we missed? Let us know here or on our Facebook, YouTube, and X channels!
