Kena: Bridge of Spirits Announced Xbox Port; Feature Exclusive Content
By Alisha Alix|June 3, 2024|0 Comment
Amber Lab, the publisher and developer of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, has officially announced the release date for the Xbox version of their popular 3D action adventure.
The game initially debuted on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games on 21 September 21 2021, followed by its release on Steam on 27 September 2022. In Kena: Bridge of Spirits, players follow the protagonist Kena as she embarks on a quest to help the departed transition from the mortal realm to the spirit world. Despite its serious premise, the game maintains a lighthearted tone, especially with the inclusion of adorable creatures called Rots, which accompany and assist the players throughout the journey.
The Xbox version of the game will introduce exclusive content, including pirate hats for the Rots, a Golden Rot skin, and a staff for Kena that are not available on other platforms. Additionally, the digital launch of Kena on Xbox will be accompanied by a physical premium edition, which will be available for pre-order soon. The premium edition will include exclusive in-game items, a sticker sheet, and a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack.
Ember Lab chief operating officer Josh Grier expressed his enthusiasm in a press release:
“We’re thrilled to bring the story of Kena to a new audience on Xbox platforms. As our debut game, Kena means a great deal to everyone at the studio and the team is excited to share Kena’s journey with more players—we really hope everyone enjoys meeting Kena and her Rot friends!”
As of now, there is no confirmation whether Kena will be available on Game Pass day one.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is scheduled to be released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on 15 August 2024. In the meantime, check out our review here.
