Recent Capcom Polls Point Out Huge Interest In Dino Crisis Sequel & Mega Man Entry

Capcom has revealed the results of its Capcom Super Elections from participants all over the world, spanning a total of 254,148 votes. It’s very detailed, so we’ll focus on the ones that matter.

First up: the top three Capcom game series shows a bunch of differences in taste between the world and Japan:

World Top 3 Favourite Capcom Game Series

#1. Resident Evil – 42,037 votes

#2. Mega Man – 29,142 votes

#3. Devil May Cry – 25,835 votes

 

Japan Top 3 Favourite Capcom Game Series

#1. Monster Hunter – 7,964 votes

#2. Mega Man – 7,652 votes

#3. Ace Attorney/Gyakuten Saiban – 6,626 votes

Yeah, the love for Mega Man is universal: it’s a wonder why Capcom isn’t cranking out new Mega Man follow-ups and sequels. Speaking of which, the most-requested game fans would like to see a sequel of are:

#1. Dino Crisis – 80,769 votes

#2. Mega Man – 63,395

#3. Devil May Cry – 60,371

As for what game they would like to see get a remake or a reiteration using the latest technology, including character and story design, the top games are:

#1. Onimusha 1,2,3 – 36,895 votes

#2. Breath of Fire 1, 2, 3 – 32,006 votes

#3. Mega Man 1,2,3 – 31,994 votes
