Honkai Star Rail 2.3 Update: Firefly Guide & Best Builds
Do you want to play as a little girl with a sword who can transform into a living weapon in the far reaches of the galaxy? Then you’re in luck with the latest Honkai Star Rail update!
Honkai Star Rail is an anime Japanese role-playing game set in space (made by Chinese company HoYoverse), so we’re surprised it took the company a while to use that well-worn trope. Firefly is the latest gacha character in Honkai Star Rail’s 2.3 update, featuring the end of the current storyline called Goodbye Penacony, and she’s a Fire and Destruction character who lives up to her title.
Here’s a guide on how to utilize her to the fullest if you manage to score her in this week’s gacha roll (and the next few).
Firefly can set her opponents on Fire, meaning she can bestow Fire weakness debuffs to enemies who don’t have it. Given her Fire-laden damaging Destruction kit, this is a very useful enemy debuff to use. She is a powerful DPS who can deal a huge amount of Break Damage in her Complete Combustion state. Combine this with a character who applies easy Break buffs (like Harmony Trailblazer) and you can basically end fights pretty quick.
Her only downside is that she uses SP frequently, so it’s best to pair her up with characters who aren’t as SP-intensive.
The majority of Firefly’s DPS will be from Break Damage, so give her equipment that boosts those as well as Attack stats. Use these:
Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest: Gives high Break Effect stat and increases the Break DMG taken by the enemy.
On The Fall of An Aeon: Provides stackable ATK buffs, which increases Firefly’s Break Effect.
Indelible Promise: For F2P players; provides the Break Effect stat and is Firefly’s best 4-star light cone. Becomes stronger at high Superimposition levels.
For those who want a free-to-play team, use the following characters to complement Firefly as she will be your main DPS:
–Trailblazer (Harmony, Imaginary): increases Firefly’s Break Damage.
–Asta: Speed buff.
–Lynx: Healer.
If you spent money on the game and fine with gacha’ing a bit more, use this super break team:
–Trailblazer (Harmony, Imaginary): Increases Firefly’s Break Damage.
–Ruan Mei: Increases stats, buffs.
–Gallagher: Healer
