HBO GO July 2024: Our Picks & Highlights
By Alleef Ashaari|June 24, 2024|0 Comment
I’m sure you won’t want to waste time sifting through HBO GO’s extensive catalogue of shows and movies just to decide on what to watch. The streaming site updates its site every day, week, and month with new content, so I’m here to save your precious time.
Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for HBO GO July 2024 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:
In the 10-episode original anime series produced by Warner Bros. Japan and WIT Studio, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals — Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark — for a mission. These Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm, ISEKAI, that’s connected to this world through a mystical portal, leading them into a land of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies. Voiced by a stellar cast including Anna Nagase, Yuuichirou Umehara, and more.
Every Thursday on HBO GO.
Following King Aegon II’s coronation and the death of Queen Rhaenyra’s son, House Targaryen is divided in two. In King’s Landing, Aegon II rules from the Iron Throne, supported by Alicent and the Green Council, under the protection of the largest dragon in Westeros. From exile on Dragonstone, Queen Rhaenyra and her Black Council consider their next move. Civil war looms as both sides seek support from the great houses of Westeros, ultimately amassing armies – and dragons. Stars returning cast Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell and Tom Glynn-Carney.
Be sure to also catch exclusive behind-the-scenes on The House That Dragons Built Season 2.
Every Monday on HBO (Astro Ch 411/ Unifi TV 401) and HBO GO.
Starring Larry David as an over-the-top version of himself, the iconic Emmy®?and Golden Globe-winning comedy series?Curb Your Enthusiasm offers a tongue-in-cheek depiction of the writer/producer/comedian’s fictionalized life. The comedy series continues to prove how seemingly trivial details of one’s day-to-day life can precipitate a catastrophic chain of events. To keep the narrative spontaneous, the series is shot without a script and cast members are given scene outlines and improvise lines as they go. Also starring Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines and more.
Premieres Monday, July 8 on HBO GO.
Winner of 7 Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, Oppenheimer is the first biographical drama from iconic tentpole filmmaker Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar, Tenet and Inception) about the brilliant physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer’s role in the development of the atomic bomb, and his pulse-pounding paradox of risking the world in order to save it. Stars Academy Award®-winner Cillian Murphy as the legendary scientist, Academy Award®-winners Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, as well as Josh Hartnett and Josh Peck.
Premieres Saturday, July 20 on HBO (Astro Ch 411/ Unifi TV 401) and HBO GO.
