Madoka Magica Magia Exedra Unveils Enchanting Promo Video & Steam Debut

Fans of the magical girl genre, brace yourselves for an enchanting journey as the upcoming game Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra unveils a mesmerising new animated promotional video. Produced by the illustrious studio Shaft, the video tantalises with glimpses of its captivating magical girls and concludes with the enigmatic green-and-white Kyuubey beckoning, “Welcome to The Lighthouse.”

But the magic doesn’t end there. The Magia Exedra website has been revitalised, offering a treasure trove of new information. Delve into the freshly added gallery of stunning screenshots that promise an immersive experience. The update reveals that the game will also be available on Steam, delighting PC gamers everywhere. Notable voice talents such as Aoi Yuki, Chiwa Saito, Momo Asakura, and Sora Amamiya lend their voices to this enchanting world.

The screenshots provide a tantalising preview of the RPG party system and the main menu, which features intriguing options labelled “Room of Light” and “Union.” But wait, there’s more! The Steam page is brimming with additional screenshots and enticing descriptions of the game’s features. Players can look forward to assembling a five-member party, mastering various element types, and utilising a break system that rewards strategic elemental usage. The game also includes beloved scenarios from the original Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime and the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story game. For those seeking camaraderie or competition, online co-op and PvP modes await.

A hauntingly beautiful story description sets the stage:

“A place where the memories of Magical Girls illuminate the dark… The Lighthouse. Now a girl who’s lost everything wanders into its sanctum. Who am I…? How did I get here…? She will relive key moments of countless Magical Girls by opening windows into their memories… Trusting she’ll one day find her own lost light of remembrance.”

As anticipation builds, the release date for Magia Exedra remains on the horizon in 2024, with pre-registrations for the Android and Steam versions already open. The game is a collaborative effort between PokeLabo, known for SINoALICE, and f4samurai, the creators of Magia Record. PokeLabo also takes on the role of game management, whilst Aniplex helms the publishing duties.

For those reminiscing about the magical adventures of Magia Record, the 2017 smartphone game is nearing the end of its journey. The DMM browser version has already bid farewell, and the iOS and Android versions will follow suit on 31 July at 2:00 PM (GMT+8). The legacy of Magia Record lives on through its TV anime adaptation, which enchanted audiences from 2020 to 2022 across three riveting seasons.

Prepare to step into the light and uncover the secrets that await in Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra.
