Malaysia is set to welcome a fresh and vibrant Anime, Comics, and Gaming (ACG) event with a musical twist later this month. On 27 July, Tropicana Gardens Mall in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, will play host to the inaugural rendition of Animenia: Parallel Universe – ACG Music Festival.
This exciting one-day festival, brought to you in collaboration with MyKreatif and The Magic Rain, is led by the acclaimed composer and producer Sharon Paul alongside Musicwerks. Animenia promises to be a grand celebration of beloved anime and game music, featuring an eclectic mix of local live rock bands and a unique fusion orchestra. From dawn to dusk, the event will resonate with familiar tunes reimagined in fresh and innovative ways.
What sets this event apart is the innovative fusion orchestra. Embracing traditional local instruments like the Erhu, the orchestra will reinvent beloved anime and game songs, offering a fresh and unique auditory experience. Imagine your favourite tunes from anime series such as One Piece, Bocchi The Rock, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Chainsaw Man, and many more, reinterpreted with a cultural twist.
