DreadXP and developer Stroboskop have unveiled the release date of the next game of the Sylvio series, titled Sylvio: Black Waters. The release date has been confirmed for the PC version, with the console version yet to be dated. The game is expected to offer a playthrough of approximately 4-6 hours.
Sylvio: Black Waters promises an exciting return to the series with new mechanics and a puzzle-filled experience designed to captivate both fans and new players. In this atmospheric first-person horror game, players will find themselves on a peculiar planet where they come across a mysterious device allowing them to listen to the spirits of the planet’s former inhabitants. The device picks up the voice of a man named Lee, who claims to be the sole survivor on this planet.
Guided by Lee, players must follow a trail of clues that lead them into the enigmatic and otherworldly depths of the planet, known as the “lungs”. These desolate sites on the planet resemble familiar forms found on Earth but with an eerie twist. With the essence of the deceased lingering throughout the lungs of the planet, players must be wary as not every encounter is safe. The planet seems to be afflicted by something deeply unsettling. Players must defend themselves from the aggressive deceased using air-powered weaponry.
Sylvio: Black Waters will launch on 26 July 2024 for PC via Steam. Check out the trailer below.
