The announcement was made through a Facebook post, stating, “Get ready to join the fight of Sorcerers against Cursed Spirits, where the power of one’s spirit is pushed to the limit in neverending battle, bursting onto the scene in Malaysia this August. Stay tuned!”.
While not much of details are disclosed, The exhibition will run from 16 August 2024 to 20 October 2024 at Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur, allowing visitors to explore the exhibition for two months. Expect the exhibition to be similar to the Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Attack on Titan exhibitions, featuring manga manuscripts, character pop-ups, stunning figurines, and a dedicated merchandise store.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series by Gege Akutami, serialized in Weekly Sh?nen Jump since March 2018. It follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who joins an organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eradicate curses after eating the powerful Ryomen Sukuna’s finger. The story delves into themes of death, morality, and curses mixed with action and gore.
The anime adaptation by MAPPA in 2020 gained a massive following among anime fans for its dark fantasy and supernatural horror elements, and notable characters such as Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and more. It has also collaborated with major brands such as Esports Team Vitality, UNIQLO UT, and PUBG Mobile – to name a few.
