The Marvel 1943 Game Starring Captain America & Black Panther Will Be Published By Plaion
The next big Marvel game will be published by Plaion, known for pushing out titles made by Deep Silver and Flying Wild Hog.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is the next action-adventure title from developer Skydance New Media. It’s the upcoming title starring Captain America and Black Panther as they team up against criminal organization Hydra, and it’s written by game industry legend Amy Hennig (of Uncharted and Legacy of Kain fame).
Here’s the current press release spiel from Plaion:
“We are proud to partner with Skydance Games and industry legend Amy Hennig on what is one of the most anticipated AAA games currently in development. his partnership between two ambitious independent companies is a testament to PLAION’s ongoing mission to become a global force in video game publishing.”
Here’s the brief overview of the game:
“Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a narrative-driven, ensemble adventure game featuring Captain America, Azzuri, the Black Panther of the 1940s, Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra stunned players earlier this year with a spectacular trailer and showcase at Epic Games‘ State of Unreal event at GDC. The game hails from the Skydance Games team led by award-winning industry icon Amy Hennig (Uncharted) and co-president Julian Beak.”
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will be out in 2025; no platforms have been announced yet though we suspect it’ll be a PC and current-gen console release.
