HoYoverse Silently Recast New Voice Actor for Honkai Star Rail’s Argenti & Mr. Tail

The popular 5-star character Argenti and 5-star character companion to HuoHuo, Mr. Tail in Honkai: Star Rail have undergone changes in their voice actors. According to the official website, the roles previously voiced by Adam Michael Gold will now be voiced by Talon Warburton (Argenti) and Aaron Veach (Mr. Tail).

Players have noticed that Argenti’s character lines were missing in the latest game patch, raising questions about the sudden silence of the character during gameplay. As a powerful AoE DPS character, Argenti follows the Path of Erudition and is a classic knight of the Knights of Beauty, designed to deal damage to multiple enemies at once. Whereas, Mr. Tail, an NPC who plays a part in Huohuo’s Ultimate, will no longer be voiced by Gold.

Gold has expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to bring these characters to life, leaving many players and fans sentimental about the change:

“Thank you all for such an outpouring support! I didn’t think I could possibly love this community more, and again y’all humble me. Glad to report that I am alive and well, happy and healthy! Social Media isn’t the appropriate forum to expound, so thank you for the understanding.

Nobody wants to see their path diverge from characters they’ve had the chance to love and embody. But I’ve got a clear conscience about the whole situation, and am very appreciative of the opportunity to help breathe life into these two goofballs in the first place,”

There are no reasons given for the sudden replacement. Despite these developments and Gold’s statement, HoYoverse has yet to issue an official statement regarding the voice actor replacements.
