Cat Quest III: New Game Plus Guide & Mew Game Details
Cat Quest III is out now, and is a really fun pirate-themed action RPG with anthropomorphic cats, dogs, rats, pigs, octopi, and a whole mess of animal puns and dad jokes. In short, fun for both casual and hardcore players especially in co-op mode.
Speaking of hardcore players, there’s a lot of replayability in this seemingly-short game. While Cat Quest III’s campaign ends after 5 hours or so, there are options to replay the game under a new save while retaining your equipment. Let’s talk about Cat Quest III’s New Game Plus and Mew Game mode.
When you finish Cat Quest III and get the ending(s), you will go back to the menu screen and get the above prompt, stating that New Game+ is available. When you start New Game+, you pick your completed save file and start all over again. However, the following will carry on in the new playthrough:
Enemies will also get buffed up and will be at a higher level, but the level cap of the game increases. In fact, you can go up to New Game+9 where you can level up to Lv999!
Mew Game is an upcoming feature in Cat Quest III where you can challenge yourself in a new playthrough. Just like in the last Cat Quest game, Mew Game allows players to replay the game with various meowdifiers (modifiers) to make the playthrough more challenging. These include:
Completing a playthrough with Mew Game meowdifiers will net you rewards. For example, turning on No Leveling means you can get the North Star Tricorne item which lets you automatically regain mana.
