Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Delayed, But We Finally Have A Release Date

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the much-anticipated sequel, has been officially delayed, now set to launch on 11 February 2025. The news was first revealed in an Embracer Group financial report and later confirmed by Warhorse Studios in a video posted on X.

Originally slated for a 2024 release, the game has now been pushed to a week before Valentine’s Day, which coincidentally is close to the original game’s release date of 13 February 2018. Embracer Group’s CEO, Lars Wingefors, mentioned in the report that the delay allows for additional polishing, ensuring a better final product. He also teased that more information would be unveiled at Gamescom.

Warhorse Studios offered a more candid explanation in their video, with Toby from the team admitting that they nearly hit the 2024 target but ultimately needed more time. “We almost made it, but almost isn’t enough. So, we’ve shifted to 11 February 2025,” he said, assuring fans that the wait would be worth it.

The video also hinted at upcoming reveals, suggesting that fans will soon see more of what the game has to offer, starting with Gamescom. While the delay might be disappointing, it seems Warhorse Studios is committed to delivering a polished and refined experience for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
