Sniper Elite: Resistance Unveiled At Gamescom With New Lead Character
Rebellion Developments has unveiled the latest entry in their renowned sniping series, Sniper Elite: Resistance, during Gamescom Opening Night Live’s pre-show. The debut trailer reveals that the game will be set against the backdrop of wartime France and introduces Harry Hawker as the new protagonist. Previously seen as a co-op ally to Karl Fairburne, Hawker now steps into the spotlight in a storyline that unfolds alongside the events of Sniper Elite 5.
Fans can anticipate the signature x-ray shots and dramatic takedowns, including the possibility of targeting Hitler in a historical nod. Multiplayer modes, such as the asymmetrical PvP mode “Invasion,” will also make a return.
Continuing the tradition of third-person stealth shooters that began in 2005, Sniper Elite: Resistance will be available on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will also be included in Xbox Game Pass upon release.
