Guess How Much Time BioWare Spent On Testing Dragon Age: The Veilguard On PC
Know your roots, they say. RPG-making company BioWare know this since its days making CRPGs (computer role-playing games) in the early 2000s with the Baldur’s Gate games (part 1 and 2), so it’s only natural that EA is marketing that nugget of retro-trivia using the upcoming Dragon Age title.
BioWare has posted out a Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC Experience blog post, stating that the company has spent over 200,000 hours of performance and compatibility testing. As the first Dragon Age game started out on PC, the devs felt it was right to spend an ungodly amount of time to make the PC version more than great.
“PCs made up 40% of our platform testing effort, with over 200,000 hours of performance and compatibility testing. Getting the PC experience just right was crucial to us and we created a dedicated team to focus on PC.”
In addition, the PC port features native support for PlayStation 5 DualSense and Xbox controllers, along with keyboard and mouse, 21:9 ultrawide monitors support with adjustable FOV, uncapped frame rates, and more. The game is also Steam Deck verified.
Here is the full list of PC features for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
And for those worried about the console versions, don’t worry – Dragon Age: The Veilguard will run at 60 fps on Xbox Series and PS5. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be out for PC and consoles (Xbox Series, PS5) on 31st October, this Halloween.
