VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 Roadmap: New Cities, New Thrills, & A Whole Lot Of Valor
By Lewis LarcombeVerified|August 22, 2024|1 Comment
The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, promising new experiences for both players and fans. With tournaments set in fresh locations, an extended calendar, and deeper integration between the game and its esports counterpart, this season is set to be a standout.
Leo Faria, Global Head of VALORANT Esports, shared his enthusiasm, stating:
“2025 promises to be a truly incredible year, with a longer season, more teams in our leagues, a new format, new skins, events in new locations, and of course, the celebration of VALORANT’s 5-year anniversary.”
The 2025 VCT season will see global events hosted in three exciting new cities. The action kicks off in February with Masters Bangkok in Southeast Asia’s vibrant capital. In June, the competition will cross the Pacific to North America for Masters Toronto, and the season will culminate in Paris, the iconic City of Lights, with Champions Paris. Looking ahead, VCT plans to bring Champions to China in 2026 and return to the Americas in 2027.
Running from January to October, the extended VCT calendar better aligns the competitive season with the game, giving teams ample time to rest and prepare. The season opens with Kickoff Tournaments in each of the four International Leagues, where two teams will earn their spots at Masters Bangkok. Following this, teams will compete in two stages, leading to Masters Toronto and Champions Paris.
Fans can expect an even more immersive experience in 2025, with updated team skins, new digital items celebrating the Masters events, and the return of the popular Champions bundle for Paris. Additionally, Premier Mode will offer teams a direct path to Challengers through the game itself, and the fan-favourite Pick ‘Ems will be back, allowing predictions both in-game and on the official website.
While the buzz around VALORANT’s esports scene may have mellowed compared to its early days, the VCT continues to evolve. From what I’ve seen, the 2025 season is shaping up to be an unforgettable journey for the fans of VALORANT and esports alike.
