By Ali'sha HarrisVerified|August 22, 2024|0 Comment
Inti Creates announced that the anticipated card-battling RPG roguelite, Card-en-Ciel, will be getting a demo for PC and Switch early next month.
Set to be released on 4 September for PC and 5 September for Nintendo Switch, the demo will offer players a taste of two main dungeons from the full game, as well as a tutorial dungeon. But that’s not all – Inti Creates has also treated fans to a deep dive trailer showcasing the game’s exciting gameplay systems, revealing how it’s played and what strategies will lead to success.
Excitingly, the demo will allow players to obtain around 100 of the 300 available cards in the deckbulding game. Even better, all progress made, including the collected cards, will be transferred to the full game on 24 October 2024.
In Card-en-Ciel, players will step into the shoes of Neon, a specialized detective, known as “Gaming Chair Detective”, in which he solves cases in the digital world. One day, he stumbled upon an interesting case and decided to find out its caused. The goal? To restore order to an in-development game that has come under siege by characters from a myriad of games throughout history.
Players will traverse virtual dungeons, winning new cards to add to their deck with each victory. These cards can be strengthened, and players will have the opportunity to challenge the powerful main characters of the invading games. With every new card comes the potential for creative combos, especially when paired with special Muse cards, which introduce new passive abilities lasting for the entirety of the battle.
Excited to try the demo? You can wishlist the game on Steam to be notified once the demo goes live. Be sure to catch a glimpse of the deep dive trailer for Card-en-Ciel to get a sneak peek of the thrilling experience that awaits!
