VTuber Mori Calliope Teams Up With Harley Quinn For Official Suicide Squad Isekai Ending Theme MV
Famous VTuber Mori Calliope is running deep with DC Comics’ Suicide Squad. The Isekai anime version, at least.
Mori Calliope’s song “Go-Getters”, which was the ending theme to the recent anime series Suicide Squad Isekai featuring a scary image of Amanda Waller getting jiggy wit’ it, just received the full music video treatment, all animated courtesy of Studio WIT. The music video features the full “Go-Getters” song, as well as Suicide Squad member/Clown Princess of Crime Harley Quinn dancing alongside Calliope using the latter’s dance moves & choreography.
For reference, she’s been doing the Go-Getters dance since the anime debuted back in late June, answering the obligatory dance challenge calls and strutting her stuff in VTuber form.
So to see her dance moves in full form on an official MV of the show, with awesome animation work from Studio WIT, is definitely a big win for VTuber fans. It’ll be nice for the rest of the Suicide Squad -Deadshot, Clayface Michael Jackson, King Shark, and Peacemaker John Cena- to do something other than stand around, and the video is lacking an Amanda Waller cameo. Still, DC Comics makes more bank with Harley Quinn than most superheroes in the DC universe that aren’t metahumans or gods, so fans will have to take what they can get.
This also isn’t a one-hit wonder situation for Mori Calliope, as she has done a boatload of songs and MVs on her end like “End of A Life”, “Red”, and my personal favourite track of hers “Midnight Mayoi”. It’s just that this one in particular is on a more mainstream level as this is entirely a Warner Bros. jam.
Suicide Squad Isekai is available to watch right now on HBO GO. Check out our review & interviews to find out if it’s worth watching. Also, we have Sub VS Dub vids so you can compare and judge which versions of the show you should tune to.
