According to online leakers on Reddit, an update to the Steam achievements for Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne HD Remaster on 10 September 2024 seems to indicate that ATLUS might be releasing a remastered collection of two underrated gems from the PS2 era.

These games are Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha Vs The Soulless Army and Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner 2 Raidou Kuzunoha Vs King Abaddon.

Originally launched in 2006 and 2008, respectively, both games are set in the Taisho era of Japan and feature protagonist Raidou Kuzunoha.

What’s unique about these games is that they’re not turn-based like most of the other Shin Megami Tensei games. While they still feature the franchise’s iconic staple mechanic of collecting demons like Pokemon, the Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha features action RPG real-time combat, similar to something like the Ni No Kuni franchise.
