Glaciered is a Futuristic Aquatic Action Game Set million years in the Future

Publisher PLAYISM and developer Studio Snowblind announced their anticipated futuristic aquatic action game, Glaciered, which takes place on a glacier-covered Earth 65 million years from now. The game has released new details and a story trailer for players to get a sneak peek of what’s in store.

In Glaciered, you step into the shoes of Gray, a unique creature with a fascinating lineage – part fish, part bird, and a descendant of dinosaurs. As Gray, you must navigate a frozen and perilous world, facing off against a malevolent force known as the Everwinter that threatens the planet’s delicate balance.

Get ready for real-time combat that fuses melee, ranged attacks, and special abilities tailored to Gray’s avian and dinosaur heritage. You’ll be able to unleash a variety of skills, including high-speed swimming, temporal crystal blades, and more, to conquer your foes.

But it’s not just about combat – exploration is a vital aspect of Glaciered. The game boasts diverse ecosystems, from icy skies to teeming seafloors, each with its own distinct features and challenges. And be prepared to encounter formidable foes like the oversized Crocodilia family along the way.

What’s more, Glaciered will feature full voice acting, with talented actors bringing the characters to life. The game will also leverage cutting-edge graphical technologies such as Nvidia’s RTX for ray tracing, DLSS, and 8K textures on main characters.

Studio Snowblind, under the leadership of Kei Shibuya, known for their work on titles like Project Nimbus and Sumire, is behind this ambitious project. While the release date is yet to be announced, players can look forward to experiencing Glaciered on PC via Steam in 2025.

If you’re eager to get a taste of the game sooner, head to the PLAYISM booth at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, taking place from 26th to 29th September at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
