Rockstar Games’ First Cowboy Title Is Finally Coming To PC This Month

After many, many years of being on consoles, Rockstar’s premiere cowboy game will be out for the master race.

Red Dead Redemption will be out for PC on 28 October. This port will have the base game and the expansion pack Undead Nightmare. The port also supports native 4K resolution at up to 144hz, monitor support for Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide, HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.

Previously the game came out on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 17 August, 2023. We don’t know why it took the company this long to get a PC port running, but better late than never, right? This is quite a big deal as PC gamers who played Red Dead Redemption 2 would love to find out the story of one John Marston and his quest to round up and kill off his old gang for family reasons. The charm, the music, the action, and setpieces are remarkable to warrant this then-2010 title all the accolades it earned in that year; no doubt the PC port will do the original justice with its fidelity and graphics options.

Check out the announcement trailer and features list below:

For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail, with both Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie-horror companion story, “Undead Nightmare,” arriving to PC on October 29.

In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version adds PC-specific enhancements including native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.

There’s also support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings, and more.
