Couples Tie the Knot in Cult of the Lamb-Themed Weddings

At PAX Australia, a major gaming event held in Melbourne, two couples made history by tying the knot in a unique and unconventional way. What makes their wedding ceremonies stand out is the fact that they were themed around the indie hit action roguelite game, Cult of the Lamb.

The first couple, Tanner and Jasper, who are part of the Australian ‘Furry’ community, exchanged vows while dressed in custom-made fursuits inspired by the game. Their ceremony was officiated by the popular character from the game, the Lamb. The second couple, Shania and Blake, opted for a more traditional attire for their ceremony, but still incorporated elements from the game into their wedding.

Both couples shared their reasons for choosing this unconventional wedding theme. Tanner and Jasper expressed that the game played a significant role in their relationship, helping them to bond and connect on a deeper level. Shania and Blake, on the other hand, saw this as an opportunity to celebrate their love in a way that truly reflected their personalities and interests.

The special ceremony, titled ‘Unholy Matrimonies’, was witnessed by thousands of people attending the popular gaming event, PAX Australia, held at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

Cult of the Lamb has been a huge success, selling over 3.5 million units worldwide and gaining a dedicated following. Created by Australian game developer, Massive Monster, and published by Devolver Digital, it has become a cult classic in the gaming world. The core of the game is the engaging cult management and roguelite mechanics, offering players a delightful mini town-management experience and action-packed dungeon crawler. Its charming aesthetic is complemented by a fitting soundtrack, and while it doesn’t take itself too seriously, it delves into dark and gory themes associated with cults and indoctrination.

It’s truly heartwarming to witness the profound impact a video game can have in uniting people and crafting their extraordinary love stories. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Cult of the Lamb is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam.
