Art The Clown Takes The Crown, Terrifier 3 Becomes Highest-Grossing Unrated Movie Of All Time
By Alleef Ashaari|October 28, 2024|0 Comment
Terrifier 3 has broken the record for the highest-grossing unrated movie of all time. According to Bloody Disgusting, Terrifier 3 has already garnered US$55.1 million at the time of writing, with a budget of only around US$2 million.
For those unfamiliar with what an ‘unrated’ movie means, they’re usually given to movies that contain an unusually high level of sex and/or violence, even beyond the R rating.
The previous record holder for the highest-grossing unrated movie at the box office was Renaissance A Film By Beyoncé, which garnered US$43 million worldwide.
The synopsis reads:
After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.
It stars Lauren LaVera, Elliott Fullam, David Howard Thornton, and Samantha Scaffidi, who reprise their roles from prior films.
The Terrifier films are known amongst horror fans as some of the goriest and bloodiest modern slasher movies. The killer in these movies, Art The Clown, is also becoming an iconic horror icon in his own right.
