Disney Plus Details Revealed, Including New Marvel And Star Wars Content
By Alleef Ashaari|April 12, 2019|2 Comments
The Walt Disney Company has finally revealed not only the release date and pricing for their exclusive streaming service Disney Plus but also much of the new content releasing on the platform, including a lot of Marvel and Star Wars stuff.
Disney’s Netflix competitor will release on 12 November 2019 at a starting price of $6.99 per month in the U.S., with a wider global rollout to follow over the next two years. In fact, Disney promised that each major region in the world will receive Disney Plus in that span of time.
Disney Plus will also allow downloading so that all content on the service can be accessed even when the user is offline. In a move that emulates Netflix, it will feature a choice of Disney avatars for the user’s profile, with customized settings and tailored content according to your unique personalizations.
With over 500 movies from the Disney library and around 7,500 episodes of Disney TV slated to be accessible in its first year, check out some of the confirmed content coming to Disney Plus at launch:
There’s obviously a lot more where that came from, but it still seems like Disney Plus will be a force to be reckoned with when it eventually launches later this year. For a glimpse of what the Disney Plus Hub UI looks like, Disney CEO Robert Iger shared this on Twitter:
