[Report] The Last of Us Part 2 Is Definitely Maybe Set For February 2020
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|June 16, 2019|0 Comment
The further post-apocalyptic adventures of Joel and Ellie may be slated for a next February release according to various sources.
Ellie’s voice actress Ashley Johnson, during a Critical Role segment, sounded like she wanted to reply with “February” when asked about The Last of Us Part 2’s release date. However, she was interrupted by the interviewer as she’s mouthing the first syllable of what could be the second month of the year.
Nope, it’s definitely not Febtember, or Fepril for that matter. This does coincide with a recent The Last of Us Part 2 tidbit we heard during the major Death Stranding reveal we published about a few weeks back.
Looks like Death Stranding is about to get announced for a November release. The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4 https://t.co/wh6kimA73b

This is also backed up by claims from video game analyst Daniel Ahmad who said that the current internal date at Naughty Dog was February 2020 (via ResetEra). Then again, this isn’t a concrete date since this sort of thing can be changed depending on the game’s production and what’s scheduled for the following year.
Regardless, PlayStation fans are in an exciting period of their lives as they have a bunch of exclusives coming their way from this year until 2020. They have the Hideo Kojima-made insanity that is Death Stranding, the Final Fantasy VII Remake, the full version of Media Molecule’s Dreams, Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, and the aforementioned TLOU Part 2. And then there’s also the PlayStation 5 that may be out in late 2020 or beyond. Fun times!
