The San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2019 will be happening from 18 July to 21 July 2019 to celebrate all things nerdy and fun. Safe to say, the event wouldn’t be complete without Star Wars and this year, Lucasfilm will be doing something really special.

Those attending SDCC will be able to enjoy Lucasfilm’s celebration of the history and future of stormtrooper design. The most exciting part of this celebration is that it will also contain a new design called the Sith Trooper which will make its debut in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Lucasfilm archivist Madlyn Burkert said:

“It has some really unique aesthetics to it,”

“And it has some subtle ties to previous stormtrooper designs, which I think fans will enjoy discovering.”

The exhibition will also feature a selection of “Early Release Edition” Sith trooper merchandise including this sexy Hot Toys 1/6 Scale Figure.

Since the exhibition is a celebration of both past and future designs, there will also be nine different screen-used costumes on display and they are:

• Imperial stormtrooper
• TIE pilot
• Death trooper
• Shoretrooper
• Biker scout
• First Order stormtrooper
• First Order TIE pilot
• Captain Phasma
• Sith trooper
