KKP September 2019 Esports Roundup

Last week, we saw OG bringing home the Aegis as the grand champion of The International 2019, one of the biggest (if not the biggest) esports event in the world.
Post-TI depression is real but don’t worry, there’s never going to be a lack of esports tournaments in the world. Let’s check out what we’ve got in September 2019:
Date: 7 – 8 September 2019
Location: Setia SPICE Arena, Penang
Games: FIFA 19, PES 2019, Tekken 7, SSBU, Soulcalibur VI, Pokemon, PUBG Mobile, Auto Chess, Dragon Ball FighterZ

Aside from all the tournaments happening there, the Penang Esports Festival will also be hosting exhibitors who comprise of game developers and local talents. There will also be cosplayers and game demo booths.
Entry is priced at RM5/day and tickets are bought at the venue.

Winners of the WESG SEA national finals will qualify to compete in the WESG Southeast Asia Grand Finals.

The tournament was initially named the 2019 WirForce Esports Invitational League of Legends MY/SG Qualifiers but due to unforeseen circumstances arising in Taiwan, it will now proceed under the new name as shown above.
Registration is free and open from 14 August 2019 to 9 September 2019. The tournament has enough spots for up to 128 teams.

Komuniti DOTA 2 Malaysia (KD2M) is one of the biggest DOTA 2 communities in Malaysia and this September they’re bringing back their annual online tournament.

Feel the heat of Toyota Gazoo Racing virtually as Toyota presents Malaysia biggest esports racing event, The Toyota Gazoo Racing Velocity Esports Championship.

The Omen Challenger Series is back this year and this time, the grand finals will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia where 12 teams from the Asia Pacific region will compete to get the lion’s share of the US$50,000 prize pool.
