Riot Creative Head Reveals What Game Is Closest To Project A

During the League Of Legends 10th Anniversary livestream yesterday, Riot Games announced that they were working on an FPS game for the PC called Project A, though details were scarce. Earlier today, Riot Games head of creative development Greg Street spilt the beans about what Project A actually is.
In an attempt to clear the air and stop comparisons with Blizzard’s Overwatch, Street posted on his Twitter account, clarifying that Project A isn’t even in the same genre with Overwatch.
While Overwatch is an arena shooter, Project A is a tactical shooter in the vein of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), albeit character-based.
In fact, when several users mentioned CS: GO in the comments, Street replied by confirming that Project A is indeed “closer to” CS: GO in terms of genre and gameplay. In his tweet, he stated several important details about Project A:
While we are honored by comparisons between Riot’s Project A and Overwatch, the two aren’t really in the same genre. Project A is a tactical shooter. Lethality is high and you don’t respawn. Map control and gunplay are key. The abilities are more about utility.
