New Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker Video Reveals First Look At Ed Sheeran Cameo
By Alleef Ashaari|November 25, 2019|0 Comment
Disney and Lucasfilm have released a new video that looks back on the past 40 years of the Star Wars franchise, tugging nostalgia strings of every fan. It mostly shows footage from the Original and Sequel trilogy, which shows a lack of respect for the Prequels. Weirdly enough, George Lucas is only glimpsed for a second in the video, despite the fact that the franchise wouldn’t even exist without him.
However, the video is just over two minutes long, so they couldn’t have crammed everything from the past four decades in it. Severa snippets do reveal behind the scenes look at the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX The Rise Of Skywalker, with our first look at the two cameo roles of two famous celebrities.
This includes renowned singer Ed Sheeran, who will cameo in the upcoming movie as a First Order stormtrooper, likely similar to the way that James Bond actor Daniel Craig did in Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens. Take a look at the British singer below, all smiles in a stormtrooper suit.
Meanwhile, the other famous celebrity to receive a cameo in the upcoming movie is award-winning actor and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, best known for his music on Broadway productions as well as movies like Disney’s Moana and even Star Wars The Force Awakens.
He can be seen in the video wearing what seems to be a Resistance fighter garb, alongside Naomi Ackie, who plays new supporting character Jannah in Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker.
Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker is slated to release on 20 December 2019. In the meantime, check out the new video below.
