Nintendo Direct Mini 2020 Roundup Recap & Highlights
By Alleef Ashaari|March 27, 2020|0 Comment
In this time of strife and hardship, Nintendo has surprised the world with an unexpected 30-minute Nintendo Direct Mini 2020 pre-recorded video. However, it’s ‘Mini’ only in name, as the presentation showcases a lot of exciting stuff for Nintendo Switch owners to look forward to for the rest of the year.
Unfortunately, there’s still no news on Shin Megami Tensei V, one of the most highly-anticipated JRPGs, but Atlus is probably too busy milking Persona 5 to work on that game.
Check out my full recap and roundup of the Nintendo Direct Mini 2020 below.
In this sequel to the iconic JRPG Bravely Default, four new Heroes of Light embark on a grand and glorious mission guided by the elemental crystals. Like the first game, Bravely Default II will feature a battle system that emphasizes strategy, with players deciding when to attack (Brave) or hold back and wait for the right moment to strike (Default).
Mechanics like asterisk holders, the job system, Braving and Defaulting, and increasing the battle speed are all returning in Bravely Default II. The classes confirmed so far are freelancer, vanguard, thief, black mage, white mage, and monk (for what can be seen).
Bravely Default II takes place on the continent Excillant, a land that is home to five kingdoms. Our four central heroes of light in this new tale are a sailor named Seth, a princess named Gloria (who’s on the run after her home was destroyed), a scholar named Elvis who is working to decipher a mysterious tome, and a mercenary named Adelle (hired by Elvis to protect him).
A free demo for Bravely Default II is out now, but an official release date for the full game has yet to be revealed.
