Axle Motorsport Announces Global Edition Of ERacing Grand Prix SEA

Axle Motorsport has announced the eRacing Grand Prix SEA - Global Edition, which will see the “best simulator race car drivers from around the region take on the best drivers from the Asia Pacific region”.

The Grand Prix will have the GT3 and GT4 classes. GT3 will feature professional drivers like Edoardo Mortara and Arjun Maini, while GT4 is targeted at “not so highly-ranked” drivers. The latter is meant to “encourage new drivers into simulator racing and to learn in an environment with less pressure”.

“With the success of last year’s championship, we had always planned to do more online racing and, ironically, the COVID-19 crises has forced us to adapt quickly,” said Axle Motorsport founder Alex Yoong. “We are really pleased with the quality of drivers signing up as they recognise our platform as being a quality one.”

The GT3 winner and the “best young driver” will get to race for real with the Black Arts Racing team as part of the latter’s training, while the GT4 class winner will be treated to a complimentary class from Axle Motorsport Academy and exclusive merchandise.

The eRGP SEA – Global Edition will kick off on 4 April, 3 pm, with the first stop being RaceRoom Racing Experience‘s rendition of Motegi, Japan.
