Hearthstone Nerfs OP Demon Hunter Cards In New Update
By Alleef Ashaari|April 9, 2020|0 Comment
The Ashes Of Outland expansion went live in Hearthstone less than two days ago, but Blizzard Entertainment has unleashed the nerfs. Four particular Demon Hunter cards have been dominating the game too much in recent days, so they have been toned down to make them less OP and add more balance.
Complaints about the new Demon Hunter cards began on the Hearthstone forums almost immediately after the Ashes Of Outland went live. Look at those preposterous numbers:
Day 2 and now no other class besides Demon Hunter has even a 45% winrate. It’s only day one they said. pic.twitter.com/OXqguSq9oZ

Earlier today, several Demon Hunter cards have been nerfed in a server-side patch (which means that players don’t actually have to download a new update or anything). These include the following (via Reddit):
The new stats for these cards will be displayed in both red and green during matches, but not when they’re in the player’s Collection. The red and green numbers will return to white, and the cards will be updated in the player’s Collection with a data-only patch (which will be deployed before the end of the day tomorrow).
Other changes include Demon Hunter class card offering rates decreased in Arena until Blizzard can properly address the class with more accurate micro-adjustments in a future patch.
The following cards have had their offering rates reduced in Arena:
On Twitter, Hearthstone Senior Game Designer Dean Ayala mentioned that the developer team is keeping an eye on Demon Hunters, so players don’t need to worry about them being too OP anymore.
We have another patch planned for late next week that will address any further changes we want to make to Constructed, Battlegrounds, or Arena.
