It’s official. PlayStation announced that it will reveal details on PlayStation 5 next week on 5th June at 4am GMT+8. We may be seeing PS5 exclusives and more about the next-gen console on that day itself.

The showcase will be on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch pages.

Previously on a Forbes new report (via Jason Schreier), the PlayStation 5 conference would be held as early as next week, possibly on 3rd June (next Wednesday US time, Thursday SEA time). Sony will not reveal every essential detail on the console in its first presentation.

Take this one with a pinch of salt, given the lead-up situation for next-gen consoles so far.

According to sources close to VentureBeat, Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to launch a “couple of events” to provide a closer look at the PlayStation 5 console and its slew of games. The first of these will start early June.

Furthermore, there will be a State of Play presentation planned for early August, which will highlight PS5 and PS4 titles. Since 2020 has 7 more months left, and the fact Microsoft already confirmed showcasing new info every month leading up to the console’s launch, Sony plans to do the same via its PlayStation Blog and social channels.
