Wild Rift Announces Music Collaborations With SEA Artists
By Alleef Ashaari|November 27, 2020|0 Comment
To celebrate the Regional Open Beta of League Of Legends Wild Rift in the region, Riot Games Southeast Asia has launched two music collaborations;
Weird Genius’ 2020 hit single ‘Lathi’ went viral earlier this year, generating over 330 million video views and topping the Spotify Indonesia charts as the number one most listened-to song for six consecutive weeks.
‘ALL IN’, the latest track from Weird Genius, features fast-paced beats that mimic the high energy, team-based gameplay of League Of Legends Wild Rift, promising players an infectious soundtrack to their best plays.
The track also features vocals by Singaporean Singer-Songwriter Tabitha Nauser, who made her R&B-Pop debut in 2017 with her single ‘Bulletproof’, which peaked at number one on Spotify’s SG Viral 50 chart. Â
‘555’, a common expression for laughter in Thai, is also an acronym for League Of Legends and serves as the inspiration behind this Wild Rift celebratory track.
‘555’ was produced by five-time ‘Rap Is Now’ Producer Of The Year NINO, the hitmaker behind songs including ‘เป็ นไรไหม?’ – OG-ANIC X LazyLoxy and ‘พัà¸à¸à¹ˆà¸à¸™â€™ – MILLI. The ‘555’ music video was directed by DirectorNET.Â
Riot Games Marketing Southeast Asia head Marc Johns said:
“We wanted to create something special and locally exciting for our players in Southeast Asia, and we’re very thrilled to have worked with partners who share the same passion for games to produce these songs.
We hope that players everywhere will gain a deeper appreciation of each other’s cultures, and enjoy these upbeat tracks while playing Wild Rift!”
League Of Legends Wild Rift is currently available in Southeast Asia on the Google Play and App Store.Â
