Mountain Dew is also the official beverage sponsor of PUBG Mobile Pro League Americas, PUBG Mobile World League, and PUBG Mobile Global Championship in 2020.

Pepsico APAC Senior Marketing Director Salman Butt said:

“Mountain Dew has been a part of the esports journey for many years and we are excited for this partnership with PUBG MOBILE Esports Program for its 2020 PUBG MOBILE Pro League South Asia.

It has always been great to see the impeccable talents in this gaming community and we look forward to harnessing the passion within this ever-growing ecosystem.”

For more than fifteen years, Mountain Dew has manifested its trademark, bold style within the world of gameplay through a string of partnerships with industry-leading gaming titles.

In 2017, the brand organised the Dota 2 Tournament in line with the increasing popularity of eSports in Malaysia and Singapore. It was aimed at growing the amateur players within the nation and setting Mountain Dew as the pioneering brand in Malaysia to host an amateur Dota 2 tournament.

Now, Mountain Dew is reinforcing its position at the epicentre of gaming culture with the PUBG Mobile collaboration, pushing the boundaries of what’s currently possible in gaming.

PepsiCo Beverage Marketing Lead Jennifer Lee said:

“We’re thrilled to join forces with PUBG MOBILE and we look forward to engaging with some of the top gamers in Malaysia and Singapore.

Mountain Dew is also introducing the PUBG Mobile Dew Challenge 2020 (which ends on January 30, 2021) in Malaysia and Singapore’s Largest Amateur PUBG Mobile Championship to showcase these talents who will compete for their share of RM 200,000 in prize pool, with RM100,000 for the champions, and RM50,000 and RM29,000 for the second and third placing respectively.

This global collaboration establishes a new chapter in gaming innovation and drives our promise to energize the next generation of esports enthusiasts with unparalleled activations.”
