Spider-Man Is Getting A Brand New Suit In 2021
By Alleef Ashaari|December 30, 2020|0 Comment
Marvel has revealed Spider-Man will receive a brand new costume in 2021 to replace his classic and iconic suit.
Designed by artist Dustin Weaver, Spider-Man new suit will debut in the issues of The Amazing Spider-Man #62 and #63 in March 2021.
On the official website, Weaver said:
“This design was really a collaborative effort between Nick Spencer, Editor Nick Lowe, and I.
They reined in the weirder and more tech-y features I was bringing and helped create something that I think is simple and both futuristic and classical.
I can’t wait to see Patrick Gleason really bring it to life!â€
The only things we know about Spider-Man’s new suit is that it will still be Peter Parker, though we don’t know how or why he will make this new advanced costume.
Here’s what we do know:
Following the traumatic events of Sins Rising (where Harry Osborn came back to life as a demon named Kindred and terrorized Peter), Spider-Man’s new suit is to face off against the Kingpin.
During Sins Rising, we learnt that the Kingpin (who is now mayor of New York City) has some kind of dastardly plan brewing alongside Norman Osborn (AKA the Green Goblin).
We still have no idea what that plan is, but it might be reason enough for Peter to create an entirely new suit. The last advanced suit that Peter made was the Spider-Armor MK IV suit, but he had the resources of a billionaire at the time (with Parker Industries).
It remains to be seen how he will be able to create a brand new high-tech suit. Speaking of the new suit, I have mixed feelings about it. The white (silver?) and blue combination look good, but those neon green lines and lenses look a bit tacky.
This might even be a new Spider-Armor. Spider-Armor MK V, anyone?
