Alien Isolation Devs Are Working On A New Multiplayer FPS
By Alleef AshaariVerified|January 21, 2021|0 Comment
Creative Assembly is working on a new multiplayer FPS game.
The Total War UK-based developer is best known for its epic real-time strategy games on PC like Total War: Three Kingdoms and Total War: Warhammer 2. However, the UK-based developer has also dabbled in other genres in the past, including the hack and slash genre with 2005’s Spartan: Total Warrior and the survival horror genre with 2014’s Alien: Isolation.
It looks like the company will be trying something new, as they’ve posted new job listings for a multiplayer first-person shooter game for the first time ever in its history.
According to the careers page on Creative Assembly’s official site, the company is looking for a Lead Build Engineer, Lead Gameplay Designer, and more for a new unannounced IP. It is explicitly stated that the team will be part of the “Console Team,†which means that the company’s next game will be a departure from its usual PC offerings. Fans might also get excited at the prospect of the team behind Alien: Isolation spearheading the new project.
No further information is currently available for Creative Assembly’s brand new multiplayer FPS game IP, which is expected since the game hasn’t even been officially announced yet. However, there are several interesting facts that can be gleaned from the job listings.
It’s exciting to hear established game developers stepping out of their usual comfort zone and trying something completely new. We look forward to seeing what this mysterious new console tactical FPS game IP might be. Keep in mind that no details have been officially revealed and these are merely speculation for now.
Join the team behind Alien: Isolation and Halo Wars 2 as they work on an exciting, brand-new sci-fi shooter.
This ambitious multiplayer title is a fresh take on the FPS genre that will allow players to embrace a variety of creative playstyles. https://t.co/wIH3bZHQGw#joinnow pic.twitter.com/e7ciHZ3Y9X
