SoulCalibur VI Is Going To Feature Guest Characters After All…
The SoulCalibur series had its fair shares of guest characters; some logical, some absurd. For every Ezio Auditore coming in, we get Darth Vader and Yoda.
Leave it to Bandai Namco to continue the guest character train for its sword-combat series. We now have Geralt of Rivia in the game, in his Witcher 3: Wild Hunt getup and his steel/silver sword combo.
Here’s what we gathered from this gameplay alone:
-He has his Quen sign, Igni sign, and Axii sign from Witcher 3. He uses the Igni and Axii sign for his SoulCalibur VI super move; it’s pretty awesome.
-According to the presser we got, his fighting style is a “combination of swordplay, ability-enhancing potions, and combat magic”. Which means he can buff himself up mid-match. And toss explosions when needed.
-Bandai Namco’s Project Soul team worked closely with CD Projekt Red, according to the latter’s community lead Marcin Momot. So far, they’ve got his moves, his spells, and his twirly attack animation right, so hooray!
SoulCalibur VI is coming out in 2018. In the meantime, we’ve done a quick recap of the series’ alchemist tart Ivy Valentine.Â
