Dota 2 The Internation 2018 Will Air Live on Astro’s Tamago and eGG
By |August 15, 2018|0 Comment
When the eGG Network (eGG), the video games and esports dedicated channel for Astro, introduced livestreaming for popular global championships, it picked up a massive following. The positive response is so massive, the programming began to introduce analysis segments and post-match round-ups. Usually these shows feature English speaking hosts and guests.
That changes this year when both eGG and Tamago, Astro’s live-streaming app, airs the upcoming The International 2018 with Bahasa Malaysia commentary. Fans and esports enthusiasts can tune in from 16 to 19 August 2018 for Group Stage streams and 21 to 26 August 2018 to check-out the Main Event. All live matches will kick-off, daily, from 12am and will feature Astro’s growing pool of casting talents. This includes CortX, Said Za, Icybaby12, and eGG’s Danielle Purdue.
For most Malaysians, The International 2018 – the biggest event for Dota 2 every year, will be a big deal as Malaysia’s top-tier esports headliners, Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung, Kam ‘Moon’ Boon Seng, and Yeik ‘MidOne’ Nai Zheng, are competing for the big prize. The first two represent Mineski, while the latter plays for Team Secret. They and their respective teams are in the running for the US$24 million prize pool.
English-language casting for the The International 2018 livestreams will also be available on both Tamago and eGG channels. More details can be found here.
