[Report] After 12 Long Years, You Can Finally Change Your PSN Name

PlayStation users across the world wonder for as long as 2006 if they’ll be able to change their usernames. That day may be coming according to sources close to Kotaku.

Developers of multiplayer games told the outlet that they are preparing for PlayStation Network’s upcoming name-changing option. The three people from three different studios spoke anonymously that they have been fixing bugs, tweaking settings, and made their games compatible with Sony’s plan in the past few months.

Another person in a different game studio showed a photo of a PSN profile containing the option “edit username”. Right now there is no timeframe for this upcoming feature, and Sony has yet to make any comments about it at this point in time.

But hey, better late than never, right?
