Atlus Teases a New Version of Persona 5

Atlus has officially teased the previously-rumored new version of Persona 5 during its Persona 5 the Animation: Dark Sun special earlier today. The teaser video confirms the title; P5R or Persona 5 R.

However, the teaser video doesn’t actually reveal any details. Instead, it begins with a PlayStation opening, which indicates that Persona 5 R will be released on the PS4. It also repeatedly features the phrase “new projects,” making it highly likely that multiple Persona -related titles might be announced.

More details and information will be revealed in March 2019, so we’ll have to wait until then to see what exactly Persona 5 R and the other “new projects” will be. Fingers crossed that one of those titles will be a Persona 5 port for the Nintendo Switch, which fans have been speculating ever since The Game Awards 2018 reveal last month that Persona 5 protagonist Joker will be arriving in Super Smash Bros Ultimate as a playable character.
