E3 2019: Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Slated For September, Still Looks Effin’ Gorgeous

There’s nothing as timeless as 2D animation, especially if it’s Studio Ghibli-made animation. And that is more apparent when we’re talking about their first official foray into video games in partnership with developer Level 5: the epic tale that is Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch back in 2011.

Now it’s getting a remaster for the PS4 and PC. If you haven’t played it yet, you are in for a treat! It features a pretty well-written and surprisingly mature JRPG plotline featuring a kid who has to come into grips with reality while adventuring in a fantasy world. Crazy, I know!

Check out the trailer below and witness the cel-shaded game in its up-rezzed glory.

You can get your hands on this version this 20th September, real-time Pokemon-style battle system and all.
