So Which Kaijus Popped Up In Godzilla: King Of The Monsters? (Spoilers)
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is essentially a kaiju movie fan’s wet dream. From its visuals and spectacle that works alongside an epic soundtrack that’s part homage part revamp thanks to Bear “God of War” McCreary, it’s solid proof that America can come up with a damn good Godzilla film that deserves to hang alongside its Japanese predecessors.
So which monsters made an appearance? Well, here’s the full list. Spoilers, obviously, so here’s the obligatory warning.
Godzilla: Well, duh.
Mothra: The “Queen of the Monsters” is featured prominently in the film.
Rodan:Â The pterodactyl-like Titan flies around all godlike in the film’s middle portion.
King Ghidorah: AKA “Moster Zero”. Essentially the film’s main antagonist, Ghidorah and Godzilla battle for supremacy over Earth.
King Kong: We see the King of Skull Island in footage and in a cave painting.
MUTO 1, 2, and 3: We met MUTO 1 and MUTO 2 in 2014’s Godzilla, and both a seen briefly in footage. A 3rd MUTO is awakened by King Ghidorah.
Behemoth: Behemoth is sort of a cross between a woolly mammoth and a gorilla. Pops up when King Ghidorah calls out the rest of the Titans in the second act of the film.
Scylla: Scylla is a giant spider. Pops up when King Ghidorah calls out the rest of the Titans in the second act of the film.
Methuselah: Methuselah is the “Mountain Titan” we’ve seen in the trailers. Pops up when King Ghidorah calls out the rest of the Titans in the second act of the film.
The Titans below were never seen, but their names appeared on computer screens and in newspaper headlines:
