Charity Speedrunning Stream Gig Breaks US$3 Million In Fundraising

Summer Games Done Quick 2019 recently concluded in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S. It successfully raised a whopping US$3 million for the international humanitarian aid organization Doctors Without Borders, which sets a record-breaking haul for the annual speedrunning event.
The Twitch live broadcast of the event also peaked at 150,000 concurrent viewers with some great moments of speedrunning greatness. The games in Summer Games Done Quick 2019 included classic titles like Chrono Trigger, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend as well as new games like Mega Man 11, Octopath Traveler, and Kingdom Hearts 3.

The next major Games Done Quick event will be the Awesome Games Done Quick in Orlando from 5 to 12 January 2020, while the next Summer Games Done Quick will be held Bloomington from 18 to 21 June 2020.
